⭐️ Best Starter Ocarinas ⭐️
Lots of people’s first ocarina is out of tune, so no matter how many tutorials they watch and skills they gain, they can’t get the ocarina to sound right. People will blame themselves for problems when a poorly made instrument is holding them back. Similarly, if someone jumps head-first into premium ceramic ocarinas, there’s a high chance they’ll break them while learning to play.
These fantastic plastic ocarinas solve these problems—both the Night by Noble and Bravura by Focalink are in-tune, easy to learn on, and indestructible. You can rest easy knowing that any issues you hear are things you can improve, since the instrument itself is so reliable.

⭐️ Ocarina Method Books ⭐️
I have not used any of these method books (I learned how to play before they existed), but they’re all highly regarded by the ocarina community!
Whether you’re an experienced musician learning ocarina-specific techniques, only need to improve your music theory, or are starting from scratch, a method book will help you jumpstart your learning.

▲ Best Zelda Replicas ▲
First off, do not buy cheap Ocarina of Time replicas on Amazon. It will not turn out well for you if you’re hoping it’ll be a good instrument.
“It’s made of ceramic, so it must be better than plastic”
Don’t do it. If you need to know why, watch my most-viewed video below.
Otherwise, get a Zelda replica from a reputable vendor like Songbird, STL, or Spencer (when he starts taking orders again). All of these are fantastic choices, and for most people I’d recommend a Songbird replica

✈️ Best Ocarinas / Accessories for Travel ✈️
When traveling, there’s a higher than normal risk of breaking your ceramic ocarinas. As such, I suggest you get a couple good plastic ones.
As for the Alto C range, which is most essential for ocarinists, I’m partial to the Night by Noble and Bravura AC, (links in the next column), but the Osawa AC is also quite good.

Similarly, you might consider a Soprano C. The Brio SC from Songbird has superb tone and strong volume considering its tiny size, and a pendant soprano is also a great (albeit ceramic) piece to carry with you.

Inline ocarinas such as the durable Mountain Ocarina (Soprano G) and Coda EDC Flute (Alto C + Soprano C double) are also worthwhile, compact picks.
Last, for those who need to practice in their hotel rooms without risking noise complaints, I recommended Mr. Mute, an attachment that can reduce the volume of single-chamber ocarinas by up to 90%.
Bonus: If you really need to bring a ceramic ocarina with you on a trip, gun cases are surprisingly effective ocarina cases, provided you can custom-cut the interior foam.
